Operation Round Up Launches Star Light Award
(SUMMERDALE, Ala.) – The Baldwin County Electric Membership Charitable Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the Operation Round Up Star Light Award. This is an educational grant program designed to provide support to teachers for the direct purpose of improving learning through a specific lesson or project in the classroom using innovative or creative techniques.
"We are excited to be able to help local teachers and students," says Katie Warren, chairman of Operation Round Up. "This is what Operation Round Up is all about, improving the quality of life within our community."
All kindergarten through 12th grade teachers in accredited public and private schools within the Baldwin EMC service area are eligible to apply. Grants will be awarded to those teachers who demonstrate that their project benefits and directly involves students, involves teamwork, and will be an innovative learning experience.
All applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on September 8, 2011 to any Baldwin EMC office. Click here for an application.
