Baldwin EMC is excited to announce the latest recipients of the Shining Star Student award. These students were nominated for displaying the Touchstone Energy characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community.
Cameron Herzog, an eighth grade student at Fairhope Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for August. She was nominated by faculty member Karen Bartl.
Ms. Bartl wrote in her nomination, “Cameron is a wonderful student who comes to class each day with a smile and is always willing to help her peers or her teacher. Cameron gave up her elective class to be a student aid, and has become my third hand. Many of my days run far smoother because Cameron can be depended on to complete any task I ask of her without complaint nor excuse.” Herzog was presented with a Shining Star Student certificate and a $50 Visa gift card.
Ma Kay’la Hadley, an eighth grade student from Bay Minette Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for September. She was nominated by faculty member Pamela Jones Coffman.
Ms. Coffman wrote in her nomination, “Ma Kay’la is the sweetest young lady. Her character, her mannerisms model kindness and generosity. She is always eager and willing to give a helping hand. When going from class to class, he can be seen interacting with multiple people to ask how their day has been and if they need any help. He also has a brother who he helps throughout the day in the same school.” Romero was presented with a Shining Star Student certificate and a $50 Visa gift card.
