BALDWIN EMC OUTAGE REPORT

As of 4 p.m., Baldwin EMC announced it has restored power to 24,962 meters. This is approximately 95% of the total outages Baldwin EMC had as of Thursday morning following Hurricane Zeta. The cooperative now has 1,185 meters remaining without power due to Hurricane Zeta.

The remaining outages are isolated to the North Baldwin area, where the cooperative’s system received the most damage. Some crews that have been working in the southern and central parts of Baldwin EMC’s territory will now assist crews north of I-10 in the restoration process.

All meters are expected to be restored at some point on Saturday. All Baldwin EMC offices will re-open for normal business hours on Monday, Nov. 2.

 OUTAGES BY AREA

  • North of Interstate 10: 4,653 total meters restored, 1,185 meters without power
  • Between Interstate 10 and U.S. Highway 98 going east/west: all meters restored
  • South of U.S. Highway 98: all meters restored

 OUTAGE REPORTING LINE: Baldwin EMC members who need to report an outage should call (251) 989-6247 or (800) 837-3374. Outages can also be reported by texting Outage to 85700. (Members who are not already subscribed to the co-op’s outage texting service can sign up by texting Baldwin to 85700.)
