BALDWIN EMC OUTAGE REPORT

As of 9 a.m., Baldwin EMC announced it has approximately 57,939 members experiencing power outages due to Hurricane Sally. Crews have restored power to close to 20,000 meters since the restoration process began.

Baldwin EMC employees, along with 1,100 other lineworkers from 12 states, are working diligently to restore power as safely and quickly as possible. More lineworkers are expected to arrive today and tomorrow. Due to the widespread damage, the company does expect extended outages in some areas.

 OUTAGES BY AREA

  • North of Interstate 10: 5,539 members without power, 985 total meters restored
  • Between Interstate 10 and U.S. Highway 98 going east/west: 13,641 members without power, 5,440 total meters restored
  • South of U.S. Highway 98: 38,759 members without power, 13,693 total meters restored

Baldwin EMC’s offices are closed until further notice as employees work to restore power.

OUTAGE REPORTING LINE: Baldwin EMC members who need to report an outage should call (251) 989-6247 or (800) 837-3374. Outages can also be reported by texting Outage to 85700. (Members who are not already subscribed to the co-op’s outage texting service can sign up by texting Baldwin to 85700.)
