Baldwin EMC Tropical Storm Gordon Outage Update

As of 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, Baldwin EMC announced it has more than 1,550 members still without power due to Tropical Storm Gordon. Line crews have worked throughout the evening in tropical storm conditions restoring power. They will continue working through the night as long as conditions allow.

The Baldwin EMC Control Center is reporting 327 members out of power north of I-10, 566 members south of I-10 and north of Highway 98, and 664 members out south of Highway 98.

As previously reported, many of the outages are due to fallen trees and tree limbs on power lines. Baldwin EMC officials warn members to stay away from downed power lines and always assume the lines are energized and dangerous.

Baldwin EMC members who need to report an outage or report lines on the ground should call (251) 989-6247.
