Baldwin EMC’s Charitable Foundation recently honored the program’s scholarship recipients for the 2018-2019 school year. Foundation board members held a luncheon in Summerdale to recognize all of the students, both first-time recipients and those whose scholarships were approved for renewal.
The 2018 Operation Round Up new scholarship recipients are: Judson L. Braly (Fairhope High School), Fernando J. Campos (Robertsdale High School), Kate M. Dean (Fairhope High School), Megan E. Engler (Robertsdale High School), Morgan L. Franklin (Gulf Shores High School), Leah N. Gillis (Gulf Shores High School), Seth A. Henderson (Baldwin County High School), Colin S. Millar (Fairhope High School) and Cairo A. Pauche (Fairhope High School).
The 2018 Operation Round Up scholarship renewal recipients are: Meagan A. Cantebury (University of South Alabama), Justine H. Ebentheuer (Coastal Alabama Community College), Alysia A. Gauci (Auburn University), Marissa Lee Harris (University of Mobile), Kyle A. Jones (University of South Alabama), Brittany M. LeSerra (University of Alabama, Birmingham) and Reed A. Linam (University of Alabama, Birmingham).
The grants were awarded using funds collected through Operation Round Up, a program in which participating Baldwin EMC members allow the co-op to round up their electric bills to the next highest dollar amount. The extra change is distributed for grants meeting the criteria of food, shelter, clothing, health, environment and education.
