The Baldwin Electric Membership Charitable Foundation recently presented a grant to Prodisee Pantry, a community food bank providing assistance to thousands of Baldwin County residents facing financial hardships.

Also, on June 4, the charitable foundation honored the program’s scholarship recipients for the 2015 – 2016 school year. Foundation board members held a luncheon at the co-op’s training center in Summerdale to recognize all of the students, both first-time recipients and those whose scholarships were approved for renewal.

Both the grant and scholarships were made possible through Baldwin EMC’s Operation Round Up program, which collects money for charitable causes by rounding up participating members’ electric bills to the next highest dollar amount.
