Operation Round Up Presents Grants to Two Local Agencies

The Baldwin County Electric Membership Charitable Foundation recently presented grants to two local agencies. Those agencies include the following:

  • Catholic Social Services of Baldwin County, which helps Baldwin County clients in crisis with emergency aid.
  • Alabama Free Clinic, Inc., a volunteer-based organization that focuses on the medical needs of uninsured citizens in Baldwin County.

These grants were made possible through Baldwin EMC’s Operation Round Up program. This program collects money for charitable causes by rounding up participating members’ electric bills to the next highest dollar amount. The extra change is then used to fund grants.

Grants must meet one of six qualifying categories: food, clothing, shelter, health, environment and education.
