OUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Welcome to your Annual Meeting

Baldwin EMC Board of Trustees

It’s that time of year again; Baldwin EMC is gearing up for the 2021 Annual Meeting, which will be held November 5 at 9 a.m., in the co-op’s Training Center, located behind the main office on Highway 59 in Summerdale.

The annual meeting is a special time for co-op members to gather, share experiences, hear from co-op leadership and, perhaps most importantly, vote to elect your new board members, if you haven’t done so by mail.

Baldwin EMC’s board and employees work hard to host this annual event, and we encourage you to attend and exercise some of the many rights you have as a member of an electric cooperative.

Baldwin EMC exists to provide safe, reliable and affordable energy to its members (that’s you!). Equally important is our mission to enrich the lives of all members and to serve the long-term interests of our local communities. This is where you can help.

As a member of the community, you have a perspective that is valuable––and we invite you to share it with the co-op. At the annual meeting, co-op leaders will discuss priorities and challenges Baldwin EMC has faced over the past year, as well as give some insight into plans for the future. If you have any questions or feedback to contribute, this is your opportunity to do so, as we invite all members in attendance to stay for a Q and A session after the meeting.

If your schedule allows, we truly do look forward to seeing you in person at the Annual Meeting. We share everyone’s sentiment in that we are all ready for life to get “back to normal” and while we will be taking all recommended safety precautions at the meeting, the meeting will be a welcome opportunity to fellowship and connect.

We hope to see you there!
