The deadline for Baldwin EMC’s Charitable Foundation’s Star Light Award is Monday, October 3, 2016. Teachers for kindergarten through grade 12 in accredited public and private schools within the Baldwin EMC service area are eligible to apply.
The Operation Round Up Star Light Award is an educational grant program designed to provide support to teachers for the direct purpose of improving learning through a specific lesson and/or project in the classroom using innovative or creative techniques. Grants are funded through Baldwin EMC’s Operation Round Up program, which uses change collected from the rounding up of participating members’ electric bills for charitable causes.
Applicants should demonstrate how the lesson or project they are hoping to initiate demonstrates innovation, creativity, teamwork among students, and clear and thorough planning. Applications must be received either by mail or in person at one of Baldwin EMC’s offices in Summerdale, Bay Minette or Orange Beach by close of business on October 3, 2016. All repeat applicants must submit a new application.
Star Light Award applications are available at all three Baldwin EMC office locations and online at www.baldwinemc.com. For more information please visit the website or call (251) 989-6247.
