Baldwin EMC held its 20th annual Power of Giving blood and veterans supply drive on Thursday, November 6, where 69 pints of blood were collected. The donated pints of blood can save up to 207 lives in our community.
“We’ve been proud to host this blood drive for 20 years, and it’s only possible because our community continues to show up and give,” said Mark Ingram, vice president of corporate services and public relations at Baldwin EMC. “This year’s Iron Bowl Blood Drive Challenge brought people out to rally behind their team while making a life-saving impact.”
With Veterans Day falling so close to the event, Baldwin EMC took the opportunity to honor local veterans through a supply drive. Items from food to clothing were all collected for the William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette, Ala.
“Thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to donate blood and supplies for our veterans. We are so grateful for their contribution and generosity,” said Ingram.
