Grace Morin, a sixth grade student at Magnolia School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for November. She was nominated by faculty member Stacey Mashburn for displaying the Touchstone Energy characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community.
Ms. Mashburn wrote in her nomination, “Violet ‘Grace’ Morin is an outstanding student leader. Not only is she responsible for her work and responsibilities, but she is involved in many other positions on the school campus. Grace has compassion and love for others and continues to give of her time to help others throughout the school.” Morin was presented with a Shining Star Student certificate and a $50 Visa gift card.
The award was presented by WALA FOX 10 TV’s meteorologist Michael White, who also delivered a weather presentation to the class.
