Baldwin EMC is excited to announce the latest recipients of the Shining Star Student award. These students were nominated for displaying characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community.
Jay Paul, an eighth-grade student at Bay Minette Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for April. He was nominated by his teacher, Lisa Dickson.
Dickson wrote in her nomination that Jay is a young man who represents himself in an exemplary fashion. “He demonstrates, daily, his commitment to his academics and has maintained his honor roll status throughout his middle school career,” wrote Dickson. “He consistently displays a maturity that shows he is prepared to be successful at the high school level.”
Kendyll Moran, an eighth-grade student at Daphne Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for May. She was nominated by her teacher, Leigh Rogers.
Rogers says Kendyll is a leader who is always present, dependable and who leads by example. “She consistently steps forward as the first to offer help,” wrote Rogers. “Her willingness to support others, without complaint or hesitation, sets a tone of reliability and unity that strengthens our Project Outreach.”
The awards were presented by WALA FOX 10 TVs Meteorologist Nicholas Herboso and Baldwin EMCs Education and Public Relations Specialist Caroline Shanor.
