Baldwin EMC is excited to announce the latest recipients of the Shining Star Student award. These students were nominated for displaying the Touchstone Energy characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community.
Cam’Ron Page, an eighth grade student at Foley Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for August. He was nominated by his teacher Tracy Brooks.
In her nomination, Brooks described Cam’Ron as a leader in her class. “Cam…always does what is asked of him. He is very respectful toward me even when he may not agree with me. He is a student I know I can trust to help out. Cam stands for what is right which impacts students positively.”
Braxton Skoglund, an eighth grade student at Daphne Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for September. He was nominated by his teacher Jamie Franklin.
Franklin wrote in her nomination that Braxton has shown tremendous growth in middle school. “He demonstrates the knowledge of self-awareness, advocation, academic progress and phenomenal leadership skills. Braxton has a love for sports and his goal is to always try his best no matter how hard it may be. Braxton is a model student and is well respected and loved at Daphne Middle School.”
The awards were presented by WALA FOX 10 TV’s meteorologist Michael White and Baldwin EMC representative Kim Frank.
