Baldwin EMC is excited to announce the latest recipients of the Shining Star Student award. These students were nominated for displaying the Touchstone Energy characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community.
Aubrey Reimer, a seventh grade student at Central Baldwin Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for December. She was nominated by her teacher Carly Nelson.
In her nomination, Nelson said what makes Reimer a shining star is her positive attitude and friendly demeanor. “Aubrey is a hard worker with a great attitude,” Nelson says. “[She] goes out of her way to show kindness to any and everyone she comes in contact with by smiling, speaking, and waving.”
Luke Jennings, an eighth grade student at Foley Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for January. He was nominated by his teacher Tracy Brooks.
Brooks wrote in her nomination that Jennings is a shining example of leadershp. “Every day he comes to school with a positive attitude and humble demeanor,” Brooks says. “Luke overcomes obstacles and consistently works to better himself. He is one of my most helpful students.”
The awards were presented by WALA FOX 10 TV’s meteorologist Michael White and Baldwin EMC representative Kim Frank.
