Baldwin EMC is excited to announce the latest recipients of the Shining Star Student award. These students were nominated for displaying the Touchstone Energy characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community.
Murray Walker, a sixth grade student at Spanish Fort Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for February. He was nominated by faculty member Anna Hunt.
Ms. Hunt wrote in her nomination, “Murray is kind, hardworking, studious, mature, athletic, kind, courteous, respectful and so much more! If he feels like something might hurt someone’s feelings or could possibly hurt others, Murray will not only not be involved, but he will do everything in his power to make sure it does not happen. He is focused on his community, friends, family, athletics and schoolwork.” Walker was presented with a Shining Star Student certificate and a $50 Visa gift card.
Carter Stewart, an eighth grade student at Daphne Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for March. He was nominated by faculty member Tiffany Holt.
Ms. Holt wrote in her nomination, “Carter has this magnetic energy. If you don’t know him, you want to, and if you already do, then your life is abundantly enriched. Carter has the sweetest personality, he is kind to everyone and even when people are not kind, he responds with some sort of kind remark. He turns everything negative into a positive. He is smart and always up for a discussion or helping others. He always speaks upon entering the classroom and always tells me to have a great day when he leaves. He cares about others and only sees the best in them.” Stewart was presented with a Shining Star Student certificate and a $50 Visa gift card.
The awards were presented by WALA FOX 10 TV’s meteorologist Michael White and Baldwin EMC representative Kim Frank.
