Baldwin EMC Makes Donation to Pink Heals of Lower Alabama

Pink Power 2014

Baldwin EMC employees (from left) Ken Pimperl, Christie Barkley, Buddy Miller, Melissa Vaughn, Greg Gipson and Briana Coleman present Baldwin EMC’s Pink Power donation to Matt Lewis and Asher Michon of the Orange Beach Fire Department.

Baldwin EMC recently made a donation totaling $4,682 to the Orange Beach Fire Department to benefit their “Pink Heals” program. The proceeds were the result of the cooperative’s annual Pink Power campaign.

Throughout the month of October, Baldwin EMC offered specially designed Pink Power T-shirts and sunglass straps to the public in exchange for donations to Pink Heals. The co-op’s operations crews also wore pink hard hats during the month to draw attention to the campaign and raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer.

The Orange Beach Fire Department’s Pink Heals program raises funds to provide money for medical treatment and other basic necessities for those fighting cancer in the local community. Members of the department also conduct home visits to offer hope and support to cancer patients.

This is the third year Baldwin EMC has donated its Pink Power proceeds to Pink Heals.
