Baldwin EMC Outage Report – Sunday, October 11, 2026 – 6 p.m.

(SUMMERDALE, Ala.) – As of 6 p.m., Baldwin EMC officials announced that power restoration following Hurricane Isaias is complete for all meters that can safely receive electricity.

“At the peak of the outages caused by Hurricane Isaias, more than 52,000 meters were without power. We are beyond proud that our crews have been able to restore power to those affected in such a short time. This is an incredible accomplishment, and we could not have done it without the dedication of our employees and the support of our nearly 300 mutual-aid partners,” says Mark Ingram, Baldwin EMC’s vice president of corporate services and public relations.

Ingram says Baldwin EMC’s comprehensive disaster plan helped guide the restoration effort, with employees throughout the cooperative working long hours and playing critical roles in coordinating resources, supporting crews and restoring power as safely and quickly as possible.

“We are incredibly thankful to our mutual-aid partners for their hard work and willingness to come help our communities when we needed them most,” says Ingram. “Most of all, we are celebrating with our members as they regain the comforts and conveniences that electricity brings to everyday life. We know how much it means to have the lights back on, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make that possible.”
