Baldwin EMC Receives Wonderful Response to Annual Spring Into Action Drive

Baldwin EMC held its annual Spring Into Action blood drive on Thursday, March 26, where 69 pints of blood were collected. The donated pints of blood can save more than 200 lives in our community.

“Baldwin EMC blood drives have always outperformed daily blood donation goals for the Baldwin County LifeSouth Region. Even during the “Covid Years” Baldwin EMC blood drives performed 2 to 3 times greater than our daily goals,” said Victor Le Jeune, LifeSouth District Recruitment Manager. “It would take our Baldwin bloodmobiles about 3 to 4 days to collect the same amount of blood donations that just one Baldwin EMC blood drive produces. Baldwin EMC continues to be one of LifeSouth’s most dedicated partners in the fight to keep our local hospitals stocked with lifesaving blood products.”

The blood drive benefited LifeSouth Community Blood Center and local hospitals. Each pint of blood has the potential to save as many as three lives, including accident victims, those fighting chronic illnesses, and patients recovering from surgery.

“We’re incredibly thankful for our partnership with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers and for the opportunity to host the Spring Into Action blood drive each year,” said Mark Ingram, Baldwin EMC’s Vice President of Corporate Services and Public Relations. “While that partnership makes these events possible, it’s the people who show up, roll up their sleeves, and donate who truly make the difference. Their generosity creates a lasting impact on our community and is one that can never be fully measured or repaid.”
