Baldwin EMC Receives Wonderful Response to Annual Spring Into Action Drive

Baldwin EMC held its 13th annual Spring Into Action blood drive on Thursday, April 27, where 63 pints of blood were collected. The donated pints of blood can go onto save more than 180 lives in our community.

“Giving back to the community is something Baldwin EMC is not only passionate about, but is one of our core values as a cooperative,” said Baldwin EMC Vice President of Corporate Services and Public Relations Mark Ingram. “The pints of blood received during this drive will go on to save more than 180 lives in our community, that’s amazing! Thank you to everyone who donated, every single one of you helped save lives.”

The blood drive benefited LifeSouth Community Blood Center and local hospitals. Each pint of blood has the potential to save as many as three lives, including accident victims, those fighting chronic illnesses and patients recovering from surgery.
