As of 10:00 p.m., Baldwin EMC announced it has approximately 3,400 members still without power due to Tropical Storm Gordon. Line crews have worked throughout the evening in tropical storm conditions restoring power. They will continue working as long as it is safe to do so.
According to Baldwin EMC spokesperson Mark Ingram, many of the outages are due to fallen trees and tree limbs on power lines. Ingram warns members to stay away from downed power lines and please always assume the lines are energized and dangerous.
