Karen Moore, CEO of Baldwin EMC, was recently elected to the PowerSouth Energy Cooperative Board of Trustees, replacing Bucky Jakins.
Moore began her tenure as Baldwin EMC’s chief executive officer April 25. Jakins retired after serving as CEO of Baldwin EMC for 15 years.
“It is an honor to serve Baldwin EMC, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve as a board member for PowerSouth,” Moore said. “I am eager to contribute to the success of PowerSouth and all our distribution members.”
Moore served most recently as vice president of energy services and public relations for Baldwin EMC. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is also a graduate of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Management Internship Program at the University of Wisconsin.
