(SUMMERDALE, Ala. – March 30, 2016) – The Baldwin County Electric Membership Charitable Foundation presented a grant to United Way of Baldwin County at their March meeting. The donation will help United Way continue their support of over 20 nonprofit health and human service agencies serving residents in all of Baldwin County.

This grant was made possible through Baldwin EMC’s Operation Round Up program, which collects money for charitable causes by rounding up participating members’ electric bills to the next highest dollar amount, with the extra change used to fund grants. Grants must meet one of six qualifying categories: food, clothing, shelter, health, environment and education.
